PAYMENT INFO Payment is due at time of service. We accept cash and all major credit cards. Gratuities are greatly appreciated by our staff. Sorry, we do not accept checks. All services will have sales tax added as required by law. CANCELLATION POLICY/NO SHOW/TRIP FEE If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact us AT LEAST 24 hours in advance. If we are not notified of cancellation within that time period, please note that a 50% surcharge will be added to your next appointment. On rare occasions, we may need to cancel your appointment due to mechanical failure, illness, etc. Every effort will be made to contact you in advance to reschedule. APPOINTMENT TIMES An appointment time is an estimated time of arrival. Please understand that as a mobile service, our schedule is subject to delays that may arise from traffic, unforeseen delays on prior appointments, etc. We will make every attempt to notify our customers if delays are incurred. KEY ON FILE/ACCESS TO HOME SERVICE If you are not able to be home for your appointment, you may choose to provide a key, a garage code, alarm code or some other form of access to the home. Your pet must be crated or left in an accessible area. DE-MATTING Excessive de-matting is a painful, time consuming and costly procedure that causes extreme discomfort and can aggravate and cause skin issues. Customers must be aware that neglect of the pet’s coat can cause irritation after grooming. Matted fur also increases the risk of cuts, nicks, etc. from clippers or scissors. It is our discretion to determine how to safely proceed with grooming and will provide you with our professional opinion. Shaving your pet may dramatically change your pet’s appearance and the hair will be very close to the skin. This may expose pre-existing skin conditions. Due to this labor intensive and higher risk procedure, an additional fee will be charged for matted pets. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. In extreme cases, grooming may have to be performed by a veterinarian. CURRENT VACCINATIONS/VETERINARY INFORMATION Proof of rabies vaccination shall be provided upon request. We also require current veterinarian information so we may contact them if necessary. A kennel cough vaccination (bordetella) is highly recommended. SAFETY/DOG BEHAVIOR Customers must inform us prior to grooming if your pet has bitten someone or has aggressive tendencies. We cannot groom aggressive dogs for their safety and for the safety of our staff. We have the right to refuse service in the event that a pet that cannot be handled safely. We do not sedate pets for grooming and should only be done under the supervision of a veterinarian. SENIOR PETS AND PETS WITH PRE-EXISTING HEALTH CONDITIONS Grooming procedures sometimes can be stressful, especially for senior pets or those pets with health conditions. Because senior pets and pets with health conditions have an increased chance of injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress. We MUST be informed of pre-existing health conditions! Grooming can expose a hidden medical issue or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming and may require immediate medical attention. If we should discover a condition that should be assessed by a veterinarian, we will bring it your attention. We want to provide the most appropriate grooming service for your pet’s age and condition. FLEA/TICK INFESTATIONS Customers are responsible for keeping their pet(s) flea and tick free. If fleas or ticks are found on your pet, we will use a flea and tick shampoo to address the condition. Dogs with severe flea and tick conditions will incur an additional charge due to the labor and products required to address it. Veterinary intervention may be required and follow up is highly recommended due to the various health conditions that can arise with fleas and ticks. Flea and tick products can have side effects, including, but not limited to, allergic reactions. Customers must be aware that any such treatments are not guaranteed to be 100% effective and these infestations may require additional applications of flea and tick products.
